I'm glad to see that his campaign and his (and Palin's) silence on the vitriol of their followers needed to be addressed. He now needs to do more and advise the crazies against doing violence before he loses the election.

I'm glad to see that. I was beginning to wonder if I was cynical enough to believe that the McCain/Palin campaign had decided to go to Plan B: rile up the base until some nutjob does an RFK on Obama.

Mind you, the telling point will be whether Palin actually tones down her rhetoric, because she's the one who has mostly been waving the red meat in front of the crowd.
