Lesson learned tonight

When drawing on the chalkboard, I should smudge each layer as I go. When I do, it makes a better picture.

Too bad I figured this out after I completed tonight's picture....but I'll remember for next time. (I still smudged it...looks a lot better than before I did...I just know if I did each layer, it would look better. Hey. I'm learning to draw...cut me some slack.)

I'll post pictures later this week.

fwiw, I think we are having art classes again thru my waldorf teacher training this year. Will try to advertise here once i hear about them... and i think i get to learn chalkboard drawing techniques this year too!

That would be awesome! I've looked on the RSC site and haven't seen anything on the schedule for any type of stand alone art class.

Watercolor painting would be awesome too! I feel silly for picking (or being picked by) such an art heavy curriculum...and not being any type of artist! But I'm looking at it as a chance to do something I've always wanted to be able to do. So I'm stretching myself. And enjoying it as well (which is a surprise to me)
