One of the things I LOVE about Waldorf Education (which is the curriculum I'm using for homeschooling) is that Handwork is part of the school week. First Graders learn knitting, Second grade is crocheting, Third grade is more knitting and the intro of perling, etc etc. In the schools they have dedicated Handwork teachers! My goal is to go to school someday and take that particular training.
