What you said about 214 reminded me that I meant to tell you that I had the chance to read some Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit stuff to Mel. It must have been a long time since I've read those stories. I actually had fun reading it out loud to her. Now I've read some slave-speak that's like almost impossible! Zora Neal Hurston's stuff is REALLY hard for me to get through! The Brer stories really weren't hard. I don't know if they'd have the same feel if the language was changed.
