Survey Time!

Joe and I are looking to buy a new couch (from Ikea 'cause it's fairly cheap and we already know the kids are going to destroy it in a couple of years anyway) We're thinking of getting a sofa bed (more places to store people). The survey is the cover! Should we buy the red machine washable cover? Or the super dark navy dry clean only? Or the dark chocolate brown dry clean? Any will work in our living room. What do you guys think?

Based on your busy schedule and the fact that you have animals in the house, machine washable is probably the most practical.

I concur.

I'd vote for the red washable because a) Red (and I seem to recall that at least one of you has a marked preference for that color) and b) WASHABLE. Having finally upgraded to "real adult furniture" (as opposed to "college age thrift store bargains") we got ones that have washable covers and I've been deeply thankful we made that choice.

Red, because the kids have grown up with a Big Red Chair in the living room, and they'll like the color.

Oh, and get TWO Red covers, so you have one on the couch and one either in the laundry or on the shelf ready to go on the couch if the kids blitz it.

I already figured that part out...

Right now we are exploring whether we really want a sofa bed or not.

Warning: sofa beds break more easily than regular sofas.

I just found out I may be getting a piano soon, so it may be a love seat to help save space.
