Actually his sleeping pattern is pretty normal. The not hearing a peep from 8pm to 8 am only happens in a small percentage of kids. I just happened to be one of them so my mother was one lucky person. As much as I complain, Ike is getting much better. But sleeping through the night is a learned habit. And we've been sick constantly since thanksgiving (which coincidently is when I got pregnant) which causes sleep disruptions. On a good night (3-4 times a week when he's well) I don't hear from Ike until 5:30 in the morning.
Ike's not hyperactive. He just wakes up a lot at night. And the best solution? Get him outside to play. But between my exhaustion and the weather not cooperating, its been a bit difficult to manage. As the weather gets better it should get easier. Ike needs more opportunities to burn his normal toddler energy.

And I agree, Ike is anything but boring!
