Awww.....Bliss?
'Kay, so the day started well.
Joe and Ike left the house at 9:30. Joe won't be back 'till 6:30ish tonight, Ike won't be back till tommorrow. I got the day off! YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I went back to bed after they left. I slept for another hour and a half. I got to stitch! I got to watch an America's Test Kitchen marathon while I stitched. Then I went to take another nap....
Then I started having contractions.
I've been having them on and off for the last few days, especially when I lie down. So I thought they were just Braxton-Hicks 'cause they quit when I sat up. But this time they were happening every 10 minutes. Crap. That's different. So I call Kaiser. After being on hold for 20 minutes I finally talk to a Dr. First thing she says is "Go drink some water" Second thing, "No more sex." Okay, that just sucks. I'm horny and she tells me no sex? Its too damn early for this shit! She also says no more shopping (not that I like it anyway), no picking up Ike (he won't like that). Take more naps (I can deal with that). The only good thing? I don't have to go down to the ER.
The other bummer of the week? I think I pulled a groin muscle. Hurts like hell to walk, go up the stairs, pick up Ike, get into and out of bed, basically it hurts to move. The only benefit? According to a friend who did the same move in her last pregnancy, she got a temporary handicap parking permit. I can live with that.
I love the fact that I'm pregnant. I really want these babies. I certainly spent enough money to get them! But man, I didn't think I would have this much trouble! Its going to be a long 20 weeks. But so far no bed-rest. If that happens, I'll really become prolific on here.
Well, now to go downstairs and stitch some more, and maybe nap on the couch.

If this restriction actually lasts for the duration of the pregnancy, then I'm going to lose the peak conditioning of my tongue. Perhaps I should solicit for workout partners.

SIWOG=Semi-Infinite Wang Of God-Joe was using that in deference to me 'cause like most women, I believe that Wang has got to start somewhere!
