Blah.

I've got the blahs.

I'm tired, no energy, I just want to curl up and sleep.

I'm tired of feeling like this. I've felt like this my entire life. I've felt great once in my life, for 6 weeks. I want to feel like that again (although I'm not sure I want to give birth to twins that often).  Its almost enough to drive someone to take crystal. (I'm not going to, but still, speed does speak very loudly to me).

Maybe I've got SAD. I've noticed since the time change its gotten worse.

This sucks.

Blah.

For those who study SAD and other type disorders...there is some credence to that theory. With the invention of cheap electric lighting, a larger segment of the population stays up more and more. They argue that man has evolved to spend the winter months resting in the dark. Not necessarily sleeping, though a lot of that was done, but spending time in darkness because it was very expensive to use the finite supply of lights.

Makes some sense doesn't it? I'd love to go to bed after the sun went down.

I felt tired for my entire adult life until the last two or three years. The only difference I can see is that I began eating dark, leafy greens - beet greens, Swiss chard, dandelion greens, kale and celery (darker green, thinner and stronger flavored than store celery). I can grow them summer and winter in my garden so it's free food. I probably eat 1 1/2 to 2 cups (before cooking) of chopped greens four or five times a week. My fingernails are strong now, too, and they never used to be.
