More Recipes

So there's this mystery series that includes recipes...I don't like reading mysteries...but I love food! (duh!) Some of these recipes are really interesting.

Cherry Bomb Cookies
3 cu flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 salt
1 cu butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cu sugar
2 jars maraschino cherries WITH stems, drained
powdered sugar for dipping

Preheat to 350. Cut butter into dry ingredients. Mix eggs and sugar and add to flour mix. Using your hands, envelope cherries with dough leave stem exposed, bake for 10, cool, dip cookie part into powdered sugar

Yield 5-6 doz

These cookies would look unusual and attractive on a plate, and undoubtedly would taste good too. Thanks for the recipes and for the book reference. (I like to read mysteries.)

The note included said something about these being a usual Christmas cookie...and then she would use 1 jar of red and 1 jar of green cherries...I thought it would look neat on a Xmas cookie plate too...which is why I wanted it. =)
