*Oh my god, this was freaking amazing [personal profile] allanh and Randy missed something really good. I should have called them this morning. Sorry guys!

And just so I don't misplace it, here's the recipe for the Slaw Sauce.

  • 6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 5 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
The only change I made was 4 Tablespoons of oil, rather than 6. I don't like very oily sauces.

S'OK. We'll try it next time. :)

You made up for it by posting a link to the crockpot Mac & Cheese recipe. Mmmmm.

I did that so I can find it later. =) I've never really been a fan of homemade mac and cheese as I grew up with the blue box (damn! why couldn't that blue box spit out Tennant instead of pasta huh? *snicker*). But I'm willing to give it a try. Ike will eat it no matter what. =)

Randy adores mac & cheese, and I'm not far behind him.

I'm contemplating taking a couple of cups of the completed crockpot M&C and tossing it in a pan under the broiler to carmelize it on top. I suppose the same thing could be accomplished in a nonstick skillet...
