Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

I got the latest copy of "Living Without" this afternoon. Its a magazine dedicated to people with food allergies and sensitivies...so I get it for the gluten free recipes (about 99% of them). So while I ate dinner I perused it. In the letters to the editor section, someone wrote in saying they had really good gluten-free pizza at a place called Amicis East Coast Pizza. Which is based in Northern California.

Ooo!!!!!

Googled the name, found there's a restaurant in Downtown San Jose. I gave them a quick call and confirmed that they do in fact serve gluten-free pizza.

YES!!!!

Friday is Mom's Night Out. I'm asking that we go there so I can have the first non-homemade pizza in almost 2 years.

Squeeee!!!!

Is there such a thing as gluten-free beer? Someone in a community asked, and that brought to my attention get another celiac-forbidden item.

And of course congratulations on your pizza. :) I'm going to make an attempt at veggie soup, which would be gluten-free, and if it's any good I'll call it Aelfie's Soup. Just cuz I think you're neat, and um...I'm not a very good cook so if it turns out well it'll be a miracle.

Yes there is! Budweiser actually produces one, tastes exactly like Coors (go figure). But my favorite is Bards Gold. Ramapo is too bitter, so I cook with it. There's like 3-4 other brands I haven't found yet.

I also admit I'm a beer snob. When I was in college we had the best brew pub in America. I got spoiled by really, really good beer. So I'm waiting for someone to come up with some more European style Gluten-Free beers...which hasn't happened yet...they are all American type lagers and ales. Which is better than nothing!

I stand corrected...there's a bunch of Euro type beers produced...in Europe! (UK, Belgium, and Italy) Go figure!

After I unload this passenger...I'll have to hunt some down.
