Just call me Bandit

So this weekend was the Santa Clara County Fair. I entered 6 stitched items. A friend of mine from the Embroidery Guild was nice enough to not only turn them in, but pick them up and return them. She came by this afternoon with my stash. Out of the 6 entered items, I won:

1 First place ribbon for a stumpwork dragonfly
3 Second place ribbons for: Ike's Xmas stocking, a autumnal themed spot sampler, and a silk and metal work sampler
1 Fourth place ribbon for a Xmas Doily
1 Fifth place ribbon for Joe's Penguin Xmas Ornament.

Not Bad!

Naomi was an offscreen character in the ock soap-opera "Love Of Chair", which aired exclusively on every episode of the PBS sreies, "The Electric Company".

Each episode of "Love of Chair" would end with the immortal words:

"...and what about ... Naomi?!"

Oh, now I'm truly disgusted with myself. I loved Electric Company. I remember that part now that you mention it, but I wouldn't have remembered what name they used. It was years after I'd learned of Tom Lehrer in college that I realized he'd been poisoning my mind since first grade with the L-Y and Silent E songs. (He does have this thing for poisoning, after all.)

"No right turn. No left turn. What do you do?"

The current equivalent, Between the Lions, is pretty good also. I see it more often that I would like at 7:30am, as it's just before Sesame Street.

An electric company reference Joe didn't get?

I am beyond shocked, I am apalled! (however the fuck you spell it.)
