Well I've never done that before

I just stayed up for 24 hours for the first time in my life

Wow, that sucked!

It culminated with a 3 hour trip to the ER with Gwen.

Turns out she had gas 'cause she's lactose intolerant. Who'd of thought gas would cause so much screaming & crying. Lucky for me my MIL is here so I slept to 1:30.

I don't want to do that again!

I don't think Gwen does either, poor thing.

I once pulled two consecutive all-nighters, when I was working on my Ditch Day stack.

The part that makes my blood run cold about that in retrospect was when, on the second morning, I was standing on the very edge of the roof of Beckman Biology, hauling stuff up from the ground with a rope -- and now that I think about it, it was Joe on the ground helping me get things set up.

Normally heights make me uncomfortable enough that I don't go near the edge of roofs that have no railings; but after two nights without sleep, I was too punchy to care. Which of course made dancing on the edge of a rooftop just a really excellent idea; but God looks after fools and madmen...

Don't forget the kids too. I swear she's gotta be watching.

I think I heard about that incident about getting stuff on the roof. That's pretty scary.

I actually got through college without ever pulling an all-nighter. I had a sleeping disorder as a kid and I knew how important sleep was. So I quit working on homework every school nite at midnight, no matter what. So I could get a halfway decent night sleep. Man sometimes I'd kill for those days. I could nap for 3 hours at a time! =)
