Stitching Update
Jul. 6th, 2007 10:57 pmNormally I'd post pictures at the end of two weeks. I know that three has passed. I'm on a deadline on this piece. I had to get the outside border completed before the next class session in two weeks. I just wanted to make sure I got that done before I moved onto something else. As you can see, I started on the center part. If you look closely, to the left of the top tulip (yes, that's what's its supposed to be) you'll see a faint green color. That's the dye left from the stuff that I stitched that I had to rip out this morning. I'm so pissed off about it, I'm glad its time to put this thing aside for something else!
The pattern is "Flower Sprinkles" by Quieter Moments and its the Biscornu (The pin cushion thingy). I'm using the recommended fibers and linen. Here's the fun part, this entire thing is stitched over 1. Bleh! But its turning out so pretty. I really like it. I'm not sure I could ever get addicted to over 1 stitching like some people. But I definitely think, that if I should choose to do something "large" like a sampler, I'm not picking an overdye. Stitching over 1 in the English method is driving me crazy. (And curse those who do.)
