Bon Jovi
Ooo. I have been a serious fan since 1985. It was the beginning of the hair metal bands. The sound was good and the lead singer was just plain to die for gorgeous. And he still is. I fell in serious teenage lust. Extra bonus, Jon Bon Jovi and I share a birthday. He's exactly 10 years older than me. Still love the band even though they are now played on the COUNTRY station (this amuses me to no end) and went to a concert last spring at the Shark Tank after winning nose-bleed tickets off the radio.
Celiacs
Last fall I was diagnosed as having Celiacs disease. Its been causing the chronic headaches, digestive troubles, and massive fatigue I've been fighting for years. It has also just made my infertility that much more intriguing. I've been gluten-free since Jan 1 of this year (I feel like a Member of AA when I say that) and have pretty thoroughly adjusted to eating gluten-free. Its still massively frustrating, but I'm dealing.
Cheapass games
Cool concept for a table top game company. Come up with new games, produce the absolute minimum of stuff to play the game by assuming that everyone can scavenge dice, markers, and play money from other games, and sell them really, really cheap. The games are very good and lots of fun...Gimme the Brain!
Hardanger
Norwegian Traditional Embroidery. Either done on white linen with white thread (white on white) or ivory linen with ivory thread (ivory on ivory). The last few years, American Designers have been annoying the hell out of traditionalists by stitching with (Gasp!) color. Its one of my favorite types of embroidery. Its very soothing and after you find the repeat, you rarely have to check the chart, you can just whip it out and stitch. I also like the fact that its tone on tone or monochrome. You don't have to worry about changing colors all the time. It just takes some of the stress out.
libraries
Well, considering I'm a librarian, it follows that I like libraries. I actually didn't use the library much as a kid, and my knowledge of children's lit is woefully deficient because of it. But I've always loved reading and books. During my senior year filling out law school applications I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to sell my soul, so I'll become a librarian instead. And I did.
rain
Rain is cool. Its my favorite type of weather. Why? Because it cleans all the pollen and other allergen-type crap out of the air so I can breathe dammit!

Well I have one. As do many of the people in my life. I like the aspect of it being a unique piece of art that I will always own. You are putting your body in the hands of the artist, hoping that they won't fuck it up. And the endorphin rush is pretty cool too.
