Well, at least he's making an attempt to be decent

I'm glad to see that his campaign and his (and Palin's) silence on the vitriol of their followers needed to be addressed. He now needs to do more and advise the crazies against doing violence before he loses the election.

I think I might start looking for more stuff this guy has written.

This Week's Menu

Here's the goals for the week. (I think the only thing that got made from last week's menu was the pizza.)

Saturday: Taco Salad
Sunday: (Dinner Guests! Mom, Daddy, and Gram) Corned Beef and Cabbage, Roasted Root Veggies (Potato, Carrot, Turnips)
Monday: Penne with Pumpkin, Sausage and Sage Sauce
Tuesday: Minestrone Soup (in Freezer, made earlier this week)
Wednesday: Leftover Night
Thursday: Bean and Cheese Burritos
Friday: Pizza (Duh!)
Saturday: I'll think of something later.

Semi Regular Weekly Update

This is something I post in the big_mother community. I thought I'd start posting it here as well.

1. How far along are you?

11 Weeks

2. What symptoms are you experiencing?

None, I seem to be moving into the honeymoon phase of pregnancy. Although when someone (one of my kids) hits or kicks me in my lower belly region...I feel it.

3. How are you feeling?

Still tired. I want naps!
 

4. Any appointments coming up?
Dentist on tuesday, early screening ultrasound on wednesday. OB appt next wednesday

 

5. Anything big happening in your personal life?
I went to the Pumpkin Patch with my son's kindergarden class yesterday. It was fun!

Oh. And I had a totally rotten case of strep throat last week. With a migraine on top of it. I spent the entire afternoon on tuesday last week trying to get IV fluids because I was so dehydrated. I got stuck 4 times before they got a vein to work. And I lost 10 pounds over the week due to being sick. Lovely. That's my official "get really sick with something and get IV fluids in the first trimester" thing. I'm hoping I skip the "experience the worst pain in the world and beg husband to kill me so it stops illness in the third trimester" thing this time around.  But if it does at least I know to demand morphine and not dick around with demerol or vicodin.
