Been over 10 days since I last posted what I'm reading...I'm slackin'!

111. Siblings without Rivalry by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish
I really liked this book. I liked the format (each chapter is a meeting of a parenting course) and the ideas behind what's involved. It isn't a "how to get your kids to stop fighting" book. Its a teach your children to have meaningful relationships and as parents we have this huge influence on how well our kids get along. Its very much a "parents change your behavior to get your children to change theirs"

112. Raising real men by Hal and Melanie Young
Written by homeschooling parents of 6 boys. I figured if anybody has some good ideas about homeschooling boys, they do. Now the Christian themes are hitting you over the head with a sledgehammer, and I seriously disagree with how they deal with sex and masturbation, but...they did have some good points worth making. And its funny.

113. Raggedy Andy Stories by Johnny Gruelle
Second of the Raggedy stories. Too cute! On to the camel with wrinkled knees!

I know that I've read more than this...but what's happened is that I've started several books, realized they don't have the information I wanted so I sent them back to the library. I also pulled a couple of book list books (a book that annotates other books that are good to read to kids) which I then purchased used on Amazon. And I also just realized that I read 4 picture books today 'cause they caught my eye at the library and I wrote them down in my homeschool notebook for possible inclusion in third grade (yes, I'm only a month away from starting second grade and I'm already thinking about third. Sad, I know. But I really want to find good stuff for Ike to read and hear. And that takes time.)
