Bloggin' to remember

I attend MOPS at a local non-demoninational Christian Church not to far from my house. Due to the fact that we NEVER talk politics, I can handle it. These are some of the most wonderful women I have ever met in my life. And I am very glad to call many of them friends. There's childcare and breakfast, and something interesting to do that morning and I enjoy it very much. The girls even get little "lessons" in the childcare. I worried at first, but it is age appropriate and not too heavy handed. So the girls have lots of stories to tell me about Baby Jesus. We've also had conversations about how some believe that Jesus is one of the names of God.
A couple of weeks ago, we went (me, elli, gwen, gray) and as we were leaving, the girls notice a cross.
"Mom? What's that?"
"Its a cross sweetie."
"What is it?"
"Its how Christians remember the way that Jesus died."
"Jesus is DEAD?!?!?!?!?!"
"Yes, hunny"
"Why didn't anybody tell us???"
That in and of itself is amusing to me. Next day at Grandmas Elli spouts out
"God is nothing."
"Whaaaat?"
"God is dead, dead is dead, and dead is nothing so God is nothing"
Only one of my children. Its so nietzschean of her.
