I've been wondering how YouTube works. Is it free to put stuff up there? (If so, how do they pay for their disks and servers?) Is it easy?

Hrm. Wierd, I'm not getting emails saying someone has commented on my stuff. I'll have to figure that out. Anyway...

Its really easy, you sign up and start uploading video clips. And its free. You are limited to how big the files are. I have no idea how they are paying for the hardware, 'cause I have yet to see advertising. It should be interesting to see how long the free part lasts. Its only been around since Feb.

Wow, free is a price that's hard to beat! They've GOT to have revenue SOMEhow -- I think I just haven't thought creatively enough to figure out what the method might be.

Okay, sorta funny, sorta, "Hrmm" side note. YouTube tells you how many views your video has had. I uploaded a really cute clip of Ike running naked from his bedroom to his bath, it is entitled "running naked". Within 24 hours there were 74 views, as of now 165. Needless to say, I changed the name of it.

Yeah. There are some things you just don't want to know, and how many people were looking for porn when they got the video of your kid is definitely one of those things.
