I think I am going to do something stupid.
Anyone familar with the Julie/Julia Project? Basic rundown for those unfamilar. Woman decides to make every single recipe in Julia Child's "The Art of French Cooking" in one year. And then blogs it. (Find the book at your library. Good reading.) A few days ago I got the America's Test Kitchen's Family cookbook. (See this entry on it.) I'm thinking about doing something similar. I wouldn't put myself under a time limit. I'd need a new LJ account.
What in the hell am I thinking?

Date: 2006-10-09 02:40 pm (UTC)I heard about the Julie/Julia Project on National Public Radio but couldn't find her blog. It sounded like such a neat thing to do that I wanted to try it too. I was going to use a cookbook my daughter gave me. It never got off the ground though. I'm lactose intolerant and figuring out substitutions for everything milk based seemed like too big an obstacle.
I'd love to hear how your project goes.
