I'm getting tired of this crap. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing 5 AM after being up for several hours.

Someday, I know they will sleep. I've just gotta survive till then.

It WILL get better. Ike will mellow out. The girls will grow into themselves. In the grand scheme of things, it won't be too terribly long before they're teenagers and you won't be able to get them to wake up :)

I already have that problem! =)

Things are always crankier after so little sleep. After getting another 3 hour nap, I feel better. Now I'm trying to figure out the shopping list and go grocery shopping. Whee!

When the kids hit their teens, and are even crankier ... I think it would be ironic if you and Joe burst into their rooms and woke them up rudely at 2 or 3 AM, just as payback.

It would probably be construed as child abuse, but think how wonderful you'd feel.

OTOH ... when the kids are all going to school, think how much fun you WILL have (legally) getting them up early and telling them, "YOU woke ME up at 4 AM every goddamn morning, so I'm returning the favor today at 6:30. GET UP!"

Of course, it may be hard to tell them this while you're laughing.

I distinctly remember a Christmas morning when I was in high school, when I was at my Dad's house, I had stayed up all night talking and playing games with him. At 5 AM he had the brilliant idea of waking everyone else up based on the excuse "You used to get up for presents at this time!! Get out of bed!"

I'll take the hug. If you can't whine about your life on your blog...where can you?

I think I even tagged it whining.

You did indeed. The hug's a standing (sitting?) offer, hon. I just dislike it when that's all I have...

I thought you might be bored of hearing it, since it's not like I can offer advice - parentless, childless thing that I am.

*hugs*
