Well, so far, little progress. I wanted something to work on the other night, so I pulled out one of the projects on my list. I've put about 3 hours into the Chickens kit and I'm really liking it. And its going fast. Which is even better.
I bought this kit because it contains a fiber type I've never worked with before. Its a kit from Germany and it uses Danish Flower Thread. Its cotton, but not stranded like floss, its more like perle cotton, but without the shiny finish perle has. It has a flat finish like floss. And its used 1 strand DFT=2 strands of floss. So I don't have to railroad. (Yea!) Which also speeds up the stitching process.
I really like the linen in this kit too. Its nice and heavy but still really soft. It just feels nice when I hold it. I'm trying to figure out what it is, so that I can track it down and buy a yard or so and stick it in my stash. Good stuff!
